


Of the valuable past in San Quintín, the Old Mill in the heart of its Bay, is an impressive portfolio of machinery and the late 19th century buildings used by English settlers that inhabited the region.
Also notable are the ruins of the Mission de Santo Domingo of la Frontera (1775-1839) located 20 km to the North by Federal 1 highway.
Continuing the Federal 1, 50 km to the South the village of El Rosario is located. Find Rosario de Arriba and Rosario de Abajo missions (1774-1832) both 62 km from San Quintin, and San Francisco Velicatá mission (1769-1818) 57 km from Rosario. Other sites of interest are the Rosario (Wed-Sun 10 to 15: 00 hrs.) and Mama Espinoza, museums which exhibit ancient artifacts, photographs, and fossils discovered in the region.
Nature has created incredible scenery where sea lions have made their home. Located in Mesa del Rosario, 48 km from San Quintin.
Smoked clams soup, fresh shellfish and abalone or scrambled eggs with lobster, are indicative of the delicious sea food menu of San Quintin.
