Surfing

The winter is the best time to play this sport, especially in the beaches ranging from Punta closing to Punta Mezquite. Of the coast you can find shops specializing in surfing.

The natural beauty of its perfect sea for surfing and sport fishing, apart from their extensive golden beaches and vibrant nightlife that decks bars and clubs have been the main ingredients for the growth of Rosarito, that time continues to be one of the most visited tourist centers of Baja California.

It all started during the 1920s, when the Rosarito Beach Hotel was built (Boulevard Benito Juárez 31) which, well supported by its nice Belgian style architecture, to this day remains a local Icon.

No less important in the growth of Rosarito was the Hotel Calafia (km 35.5, federal highway 1), it designed along the lines of an important Spanish Fort of the 16th century. Among its attractions it offers museum exhibits devoted to the history of Baja California and the movie Titanic, along with a replica of Columbus caravels.

As part of its commitment of full satisfaction to its guests the Rosarito’s hotel offer spacious indoor and outdoor settings for weddings and conventions, and bilingual trained staff.

Continuing federal road , you will find the unique movie theme park ,Xploration Its open to the public (Wed-Fri 9: 00 to 16: 30 hrs.) (Sat-Sun 10: 00-17: 30 Hrs.), located 5 km south of Rosarito ). This interactive cinema Museum is an annex of Baja, constructed in 1995 by Fox to film for the famous movie Titanic. several exhibit areas make up the complex, visitors learn and are presented with techniques utilized in film productions, such as models, animatronics, green screen and sound, effects among others. The Titanic exhibition presents several complete scenarios, props and a legendary transatlantic boat in scale model. Other attractions in the Park are the ship used in the filming of the movie Master and Commander and some tape scenarios used in the X-Men feature. 1.5 kilometers ahead, going to Ensenada, on federal Highway 1 found you will pass thru Popotla and the Artisans corridor , which invites you to stroll and sample the best local cuisine and shop the many art galleries, Mexican crafts , furniture and unique home decorations. . Wood furniture and handicrafts in clay and iron are part of the repertoire, among other decorative items. We recommend to save space , because a few miles south you will be in New Port lobster village: thanks to the many visitors excellent reviews, the restaurant row at New Port is recognized for being the home of the world's most delicious lobster served with an original Mexican recipe, restaurants in the area fry the lobsters in oil, and accompany it with red rice, refried beans and newly handmade flour tortillas. New Port changed from a small fishing community in the 1950’s to a world-class resort today.

If you're looking for green horizons and extensive natural spaces, cannot go without visiting the Rosarito Canyon (per la Palma Street near Rosarito Beach Hotel, cross the Escenica toll road underpass continue on dirt road for five kilometers ). This haven of ecotourism present vegetables gardens and flowers fields, belonging to various ranches open to the public. Pools, barbeque pits, sports pitches and horse trails are part of your recreation offering.

For golf try Real Del Mar Golf course and Hotel located at kilometer, 19.5 between Tijuana and Rosarito on the Escénica toll road, an excellent 18 hole golf course with challenging fairways and magnificent Pacific Ocean vistas is a joy to play for both low and or high handicappers.

Take your adrenaline to new heights to live the dream of flying by the coast and the sierra de Rosarito, with aerial views of the Pacific Ocean, one of the best sites to do this throughout the country.
