GENERAL RECOMMENDATIOS

IF CAMPING PLEASE:

  • Try not to make to much noise that can alter the natural behavior of nature life.

  • Be sure to check your vehicle for oil leaks before you begin your journey.  If you need to fix your vehicle, don’t forget to take the spare parts with you back to the city.

  • If it is imperative that you make a bong fire, please be sure to start it in an area free of vegetation. Make the bong fire with a safety area of at least a 2 meter diameter surrounding it with rocks, and remember, before you leave, don’t forget to extinguish fire and ashes with water or by covering it with dirt.

  • Dispose of matches, cigarettes or any other fire hazards appropriately.

  • Set up camp only in the areas that are intended for this purpose

  • Do not paint or vandalize any rocks or trees

  • It is a FEDERAL CRIME to cut, or take any plant life from its natural habitat, especially cactus.

  • Do not hunt, capture or destroy any wildlife EVER.  Guns, ammunition and other hunting artifacts are strictly prohibited

  • Always follow the instructions of you  tour guide or any National Park personnel.

  • The flora and fauna that are not native to the area may cause environmental chaos.  Please refrain from bringing pet.

  • Always keep a safe distance while observing the fauna.

  • Try to interact and learn from the locals and support their efforts for preserving plant and animal life.

  • Put everything back they way you found it.  It is a golden rule.

  • Take the trash with you and dispose of it properly

  • If you wash your utensils please do not wash them using soap near the water source 

  • Try not to camp alone.

WHILE ON THE ROAD:

  • Remember always to drive at a safe traffic speed of 50 mph, even when the highway lets you drive a little bit faster.

  • Always remember to check if your vehicle is in good conditions for long distance traveling.

  • Avoid traveling at nigthtime;  visibility is not at its best and you may run into animals crossing the highway.

  • If you are planning to travel in the wintertime take into consideration that there are less daylight hours. And don’t forget to take your mittens.

  • Take your precautions when ever there is a holiday or in the wintertime when going to a service gas station.  Gasoline might be scarce.  Avoid having less than half of your vehicles tank capacity of gasoline.

  • If you think of traveling through a dirt road, we advise to reduce your tire pressure to no less than 16 lbs.  Remember to always have the spare tire of your vehicle and your tools at hand.

  • We recommend you use SUV’s or Trucks in good running conditions if you’re planning to travel the famous Baja dirt roads.
