THE SAN QUINTIN BAYS
A total of 6 bays exist in the marvelous coast of San Quintin, dazzling us along extensive kilometers of sand, deserts and sea, with stranded ships, extinct volcanoes, flocks of birds and magical landscapes. Coming up, we will present to you a guided north to south route that will take you to explore the six bays in San Quintin, as well as different points of interest surrounding them.
COLONET BAY

The town of Colonet serves as an excellent supply point for all of those heading to the San Pedro Mártir Sierra. Just south of the town there is a dirt road that takes you to Colonet Bay, an ideal place to practice surfing and sports fishing. From this point on all those adventurers that enjoy exploring dirt roads in their off road vehicles can drive down along the coast heading south, in a dirt road that will take you to the town of Vicente Guerrero.

PUNTA SAN JACINTO

Punta San Jacinto is renowned among surfers as an excellent place for practicing this sport. Here you will find a shipwreck on the beach. If you head south you can really appreciate all the beauty of its impressive beaches and the beautiful blue waters of Camalu and San Ramon bays.

SAN RAMÓN BAY

SAN QUINTÍN BAY & FALSA BAY
San Quintin bay offers in its lagoon, strands, beaches and dunes incredible biodiverse natural treasure that will amaze you. This area is a natural rest and breading refuge for thousands of birds that migrate from north America, that year after year, punctually, fly this path known as The pacific bird migration corridor. It’s incredible to observe many species of birds such as seagulls, ducks, geese, and pelicans among other interesting species. This is and excellent tourist destination to practice sport fishing, hunting, for observing the flora and fauna or the region or better yet, for relaxing and enjoying its beautiful lagoons, strands and beaches.

The best way to get to San Quintin Bay is for you to take the Federal Transpeninsular highway No.1, from the south end of the city of Ensenada until you get to the 178 Km. marker. It is about 190mi. from the city of Tijuana. |

SANTA MARÍA BAY

Attractions: |
Her extensive sandy beaches are an ideal place to practice swimming, or go horseback ridding. You can also try gathering seashells in the beach, or better yet, relax under the warmth of the sun.

Heading south on the transpeninsular highway No.1 going from San Quintín to Punta Prieta, you will see km. marker 11. Exit the road due west. Travel 2.5 miles and you will hit Santa Maria Bay. We recommend you travel in a vehicle suited for this terrain. (SUV) |

The Km. Markers from the Federal Transpeninsular Highway re-starts from 0 on the road going from San Quintin the way south to Parador Punta Prieta.
