Tecate

Surrounded by beautiful mountains, Tecate is a friendly city, with approximately 100,000 people, where you will find handicrafts, you will enjoy an entirely Mexican environment at the city’s plaza, to visit its brewery, as well as walking among pines and holm oaks while enjoying the beautiful surrounding landscape. Tecate is the center for those who like rural activities in a mountain environment, as well as country recreation. Among the many sites to visit around, the Rumorosa stands out due to its giant rocky formations which favors amazing views and a particular wind rumor, which due to its particular buzzing gives the name (Rumorosa) to this zone. The Valle de las Palmas [ Palm Valley ] which is located just 20 minutes to the south of Tecate and which gives shelter to a small village where olives and grapevines are grown. And the village El Hongo, in which you will admire rocky formations of amazing dimensions.

Access:

Tecate is located 25 miles to the east of the city of Tijuana by federal highway Num. 2, 65 miles northeast of the city of Ensenada by federal highway Num. 3 and 90 mi. to the west of the city of Mexicali by federal highway Num. 2
