Bahías de San Quintín [San Quintín Bays]
With a high valued biodiversity, since there is an amazing treasure of natural beauty hidden in its extraordinary lagoon, its basins, beaches and dunes, which you will enjoy. This site is a shelter and refuge for nesting for thousands of birds that migrate from North America , each year precisely following the route known as the Pacific migratory birds corridor. It is fascinating to watch herons, beach birds, seagulls, seaswallows, ducks, geese, pelicans, cormorants and ground birds in the zone. Likewise, it is an excellent place for sport fishing, live-hunting with permit, flora and fauna watching, or just for resting, relaxing and being taken along by the waves of its beautiful beaches, basins and lagoons.

The best way to get to Bahía de San Quintín is by taking Transpeninsular Federal Highway Num. 1, due south of Ensenada up to Km 178, about 180 miles from Tijuana.

Regarding its basins, it is suggested to make the trip in panga or kayak in order learn about this fascinating ecosystem. Playa Santa María is an excellent site for windsurfing, kitesurfing and sport fishing.

Visiting the remnants of English families who arrived to this zone at the end of the XIX Century, in Molino Viejo, Muelle Viejo and Cementerio Inglés.

Enjoying the Kenton volcano sight from the view point with the same name and walking or mountain biking, or crossing Salina de San Quintín to learn about the natural process that originates salt in this zone.
