Bahía de los Ángeles [Los Angeles Bay]
Through a wonderful and wide journey to south of the State, with roads that traverse roads full of exciting landscapes and strange formations of hundreds of cirios and cardones that get lost in the deserts’ horizon, we find a world full of life and diversity, which contrasts with a desert that looks inert to time. A place where dawns are emphasized with spectacular colors and nights filled with stars. One of the most beautiful bays of Mexico , which is protected by several coast islands headed by Ángel de la Guarda island. This amazing bay is recognized by the diverse richness of its sea flora and fauna; it is the favorite place of the aquatic sports followers, naturalists, eco-tourists and those who just like to relax and enjoy the pure nature road beauty next to the sea.
You can watch the sea life diversity here, observe the nine species of whales: blue, gray, minkes, hunch back, rorquals, killer whale, de Bryde, pilot and cachalot as well as giant rays, whale-sharks, sea elephants, sea turtles, dolphins, among other species.
There are dozens camping places and trailer parks along the bay in Bahía de los Ángeles, which offer reasonable prices, in addition to some rustic hotels and motels, shops, gas station, a community museum, commerce, restaurants, internet service, among others.
Access:
By land: Departing from the city of Tijuana, take Federal Highway Num. 1 (Transpeninsular), travel south 350 miles until arriving at the detour indicated as “Punta Prieta”. Take the detour to the east for approximately 40 miles until getting to Bahía de los Ángeles.

By plane: There is a landing strip in Bahía de los Ángeles. The closest commercial airport is in Guerrero Negro, located at 118 miles, on the state boundary with Baja California Sur; while there is an airport for private flights in San Felipe (190 miles north).
