OUR PEOPLE
Baja California is a state made by Mexicans that have been able to transform the deserts into agricultural valleys, the Earth's vapor into electricity, by a chain of aqueducts they made sufficient water available to all cities, within the state, and they have been able to establish a positive attitude toward growth and they have the vocation to serve needed to attend national and foreign visitors in a kind and openly manner.
Its population surpasses two million residents.

The majority of the residents are young people, 76% of the population in below the age of 34 - dynamic, hard working and friendly people.

In a national context, Baja California is one of the states with the highest income per capita; it also has the highest level of education and healthcare services. 98.06% of the economically active population has a job.

It has higher education institutions, five research centers and one of the most recognized scientific communities both nationally and internationally.

There are job-training centers, technical instruction for specialized crafts are also available as well as places to train professional craftsmen. Baja California is one of the states that invest more money in education.

The State Government support, through a scholarship program, people that are unemployed and that require training to meet the need of a specific company that might need personnel.

A high percentage of the population lives in urban areas. 90% is concentrated along the International Border, in Ensenada - Rosarito and in Mexicali - Tijuana - Tecate. Half of them were born in other states.

Because it is still in a formative stage, the community of Baja California has an open attitude and there is a wide sector that enjoys a satisfactory quality of life, they are the ones who paint the environment and give character to all Bajacalifornians alike.
