The art crafts of Baja California are a vivid expression of our indigenous heritage. The Pai-Pai indigenous tribe, were famous for their ceremonial vessels, they presently elaborate cloth dolls and baskets made out of leaf willow that emit a very peculiar aroma.
The Kumiai indigenous tribe of hunter-gatherers is famous for their work carving alabaster stone and wood sculpting in chamomile root. The Cucapas make typical wood toys, manufacture pectorals of bead, and mud vessels and originals skirts of bark of willow. In the Guadalupe Valley the artisans create figures in sculpture and furniture with the vine plant.
RELIGION
In Baja California as in all the Country, there's freedom of worship and, a vast majority of Baja Californian's are Catholics.
LANGUAGE
The official language of Mexico is the Spanish, and due to its proximity to the U.S. many people speak English as their second language.
