That's why there are no commercial interstate flights; connections between all the airports and strips of the State are possible in private aircrafts.

In Baja California you can find many options of auto rentals, the most popular International Companies and locals too, they offer new vehicles in perfect conditions, which can be delivered at the Airports or at any of their offices. Daily and weekly rates are available.

In order to assist drivers, Baja California State Tourism Secretary operates a group of 15 vehicles called "Angeles Verdes" (Spanish for Green Angels), the operators are bilingual and can provide mechanical help, first aid, Telephonic or communication, minor spare parts, tourist information and protection. The service is free, major repairs; gasoline and other are provided with charge.

There are several Bus Companies that offer connections between all the cities in the state. To drive into Baja California it's a good idea, two weeks will give you a good picture of Baja California. At the end of your trip your eyes will be filled of the unique beauty of Baja California.

The State has 1,380 kilometers of littorals: 740 kilometers of coast to the Pacific Ocean and 640 kilometers to the Gulf of California (sea of Cortés). This represents the 11.6% of the littorals of the Country. The Cortés Sea is a complex eco-region of big attraction for the navigation, the peninsula have 3,850 marines spaces.

The States of Baja California, Baja California Sur and Sinaloa, share a very important turistic project called "Escalera Naútica del Mar de Cortés" (Nautical Route). INSURANCE

Any driver must have Mexican auto insurance, this is strongly recommended, since U.S. auto insurance is not valid anywhere in Mexico.

Inexpensive Mexican insurance can be purchased for a day, week or a month at numerous highly visible locations near the border on both sides; all you need is a copy of your current vehicle registration and a valid driver's license. Getting Mexican insurance is so quick and easy that many of these places have drive-through windows. American Automobile Association (AAA) members can buy this insurance in any of their Tourist Information Offices in Southern California or throuht the U.S.A.

A number of San Diego rental car agencies also rent vehicles for Baja California and provide Mexican insurance.

In case of an accident, having this insurance will avoid detention, that's why it is very important for planning a safe vacation.
