SAN FELIPE

San Felipe

Known as the “shrimp capital” in Baja California, and the port of entry to the Mar de Cortés, San Felipe is a small port that offers great beaches that will marble you.

An excellent site for sport fishing, nature watching, camping, and watching the huge cordillera of the Sierra de San Pedro Mártir. 

Access

By ground

San Felipe is located south of Mexicali and the Calexico, California borderline. In order to arrive to San Felipe, you may take the Federal Highway  5 which runs from Mexicali to San Felipe, for 195 Km. or Federal Highway 3 from Ensenada to San Felipe, 251 Km.

By plane

There is an international airport in San Felipe for private flights, where it is possible to purchase fuel. The closest commercial airport is in the city of Mexicali, 195 Km. from San Felipe.
