PUERTECITOS

55 Kms south of San Felipe, where paved road Num. 5 ends, and thoughts set aside from the civilization sounds, there is a village known as Puertecitos. A small place made up by just a few hundred houses that have a spectacular view to the Sea of Cortés, where you will find, thermal waters and beautiful beaches in which to relax, as well as basic services such as grocery stores, rustic restaurants, a mechanic shop and tourist camps which will make of your visit an unforgettable experience and a real escape from civilization.
Access
The best way to get here is taking Federal highway Num. 5 and continuing south of San Felipe for approximately 55 Km.

Suggestions
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, take enough supplies (water, food, etc.), camping equipment, and some trash bags to dispose and take trash with you, a spare tire, and tools.

Campo Destiny [Destiny Camp]
There are areas for trailers, camping and palapas, shaded areas (with trees), a small swimming pool, a small natural lagoon, restrooms and showers. Hiking to the mountains can be arranged, be sure to check out Cañón Jerónimo [Jerónimo Canyon]. Km 71.4 Highway Num. 5 San Felipe – Puertecitos.
Campo Octavios / Playa Escondida [Octavios Camp / Hidden Beach]
There is a camping area, restrooms, showers and boat leasing for sports fishing. Take Highway Num. 5 San Felipe – Puertecitos for 87.6 Km. southbound of San Felipe, 1.6 Km. away from Puertecitos.
Campo Puertecitos [Puertecitos Camp]
There are 4 rustic rooms, a camping zone, palapas with grills, room for trailers and boat leasing for sport fishing. There is a restaurant bar, restrooms, showers. Open from October to April from 6:00 to 22:00 Hrs.
