They provide free road side assistance to visitors that for some reason suffer mechanical problems to their vehicles in Mexican roads, they have a communication network via radio with various government agencies they also provide tourist information and additional visitor assistance.
Look for the white and green pick-ups; they patrol the main highways every day.
